Where do I start talking about this wedding? You have to see these sneak peak images. Truly a DREAM wedding for a photographer.
We had the pleasure of having Emma as an employee at the studio during her senior year at Valley Lutheran High School and her first year of college. She was an incredible employee and one we were bummed when she left for Grand Valley for the rest of her college. The Moulton Family have been great clients with senior and family portraits also. Of course, we've stayed in touch while she made her home in Grand Rapids and watched her grow as a photographer herself taking some beautiful portraits while working at the University after graduation.
When Eric popped the big question and they became engaged, we were one of her first phone calls to ask us to photograph her wedding. Lori and I have been so looking forward to their big day as she scheduled tons of time for portraits. We started the day at Emma's dad's house in Bay City with Emma and the girls getting ready. The historic home provided a wonderful backdrop for the girls photos including a nice spot for Emma to read a letter from her late mother Carol who lost a valiant fight against cancer. Carol had written the letter to Emma to be read on her wedding day and it was absolutely beautiful. Emma had so many little touches throughout the day to memorialize her mother and include Carol in her special day. I had the pleasure of knowing Carol as a studio client and she was such a wonderful person who so valued the portraits we've created over the years.
After a first look with her Dad in Bay City we were off to Saginaw for a first look with Eric. We then knocked out most of their family portraits, wedding portraits and bridal portraits at Ojibway. It was truly a perfect Fall day for weather.
After tons of portraits at Ojibway, we were off to Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw for their ceremony and some more portraits there. After leaving Peace we headed to downtown Saginaw to the Old Stable on Hamilton for some super fun portraits with their wedding party. The expressions in the photos say it all.
After downtown we were off to the reception at the historic Temple Theater in Saginaw. First up were some photos under the marquee of the Temple. Next, we ventured into the theater for more portraits showing off the beautiful architecture and of course beautiful wedding party and couple. The third story ballroom was decorated so beautifully for their reception. There was so much attention to detail, especially the cinnamon donuts at the cake table. They were very good.
The reception was so much fun as the photos surely show. Lori and I were able to capture so many memories throughout the day.
Emma and Eric scheduled so much time for photos and as a photographer when that happens, you want to utilize every second. We couldn't be happier for you and wish you a lifetime of happiness on your journey as a married couple.
